Vio & Roberto Bio

​

As a teaching couple, Roberto and Vio of TangoForge recently celebrated their 10th anniversary. In these years, they have become recognized as icons of extreme tango. Their productions have mixed tango with hip-hop, combat, escalators, and improvised music. Yet they insist that their technique of connection and their repertoire for improvisation is 100% traditional Argentine Tango. To inspire more ambitious use of our tango inheritance, the TangoForge YouTube channel, Elements of Argentine Tango, demonstrates ALL the variations of the 25 Elements. In 2017, they created a comprehensive video MasterCourse presenting the Elements and variations with anatomically correct, consistent, and distilled biomechanical instructions. They explain tango technique primarily with reference to verifiable actions of the joints supported by control of 10 muscles. They encourage the use of the technology of Argentine Tango with contemporary physique, music, venues, and fashion. They always use the cabeceo
