"When I started Neo Tango, it was to dance tango on different music than traditional tango… but not only. Traditional tango music is extremely rich and well fitted to tango moves. To find an equivalent richness as a dancer in Neo Tango music, I often change my tango dance adding body expression and connection that is NOT only tango. In other word, very often I enjoy Neo Tango music when music inspires me to add “fusion” moves into it, not sticking to a purely tango only dance. I am sure this is the same for many neo tango dancers when I look at the dance floor.  

On a parallel path, when I started Fusion dance, i was looking to enjoy all the dance connection toolset i learnt during my life as a dancer, to connect communicate/listen and improvise in a very free dancing scheme . This was quite similar approach than for my neo tango.

Among the different connection techniques used by Fusion dancers, one is unfortunately not very widely used, it is Tango. Tango connection is very unique, contrary to other popular connection technique like “compression/tension” that is widely shared among many dances practiced by fusion dancers (like west coast swing, lindy hop, blues, zouk…).

Vast majority of the music I play as a Neo Tango DJ is fitted for Fusion and vice versa, but since I am not only looking for Tango feeling when I Fusion DJ, a Neo Tango dancer can expect music with even more variations in rhythms and intensity going beyond the regular beat dominant scheme neo Tango dancers are used to. This is what you need to put “fusion” in your neo tango dance.

SO what is my project all about?

I could call it “when Neo Tango meets fusion” and when "Fusion meets Tango"

I could call it “going beyond Tango” for Neo Tango Dancers

I could call it adding Tango connection to your fusion dance toolset for fusion dancers 

I could just call it, broaden & enrich your musicality ,improvisation possibilities, and opportunites to connect with your partner and the music
